ONWARDS AND UPWARDS: SPEAKING TRUTH IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY

As we speak truth about what’s going on in our black community, let us not lose sight of who our real enemy is. Let our words (even if it’s justified in some cases) be a little tame in their implication.
There is much pain residing among us and words, when spoken with the tarnish of pain, can be very reckless. Divisive techniques being used to keep us at each other’s throats will always be there – they always have been. But the greatness of a people has never been their ability to destroy but their ability to build, even under insurmountable oppression and hate.
The damage is done. It’s here. We see it. We all know it.
But we’re still here.
After all the adversity throughout our history, we adapt and move forward. Cooler heads must prevail, anger will only cloud our judgment.
Our story continues, it always will. As long as there are people on this planet with the darker hues and Dominant Genes, attacks of some form or another are inevitable.
As other grand schemes to demonize and subjugate us have failed in the past, so will this one. For the past 50 years this plan to destroy black families has been in effect, confusing the women with lies and deceptive tactics. So as the pendulum slowly swings the other way and black men become more relevant again, it would do us well not to seek retribution, which will only cause more division; not dismissing the damage that has been caused but not causing more in the process.
Truth is like cream, it will always rise to the top, that’s why our enemies will always lose.
Lies can’t stand the test of time and our enemies know it, that’s why they keep coming up with more creative ways to have us destroy ourselves. But if you are aware of what’s going on around you and you know who you are, no one can ever pull the wool over your eyes. It will never happen……never.
